What a crazy week it's been! Memorial Day was this past Monday and that really threw off my whole week.
I've had my days all mixed up and I'm glad to be done with work for the week so I can relax at home and celebrate Joe's birthday this weekend! What are your weekend plans?
This week I'll be talking about my favorite stones and their properties, where I got my crystals and why I decided to buy them.
MY FAVORITE CRYSTALS + THEIR PROPERTIES:
(in order of chakra from crown to root)
Crown Chakra: Sahasrara
"I honor the divine within me."
Selenite:
cleanses and charges other crystals and the aura. It brings light to any environment it is in.
Clear Quartz:
energy amplifier and the most powerful healing stone. Assists in reaching a transcendental state during meditation. This stone energizes and activates the chakras.
Moonstone:
stone of cycles and new beginnings, this stone is strongly connected to the energy of the goddess and to the Moon.
Third Eye Chakra: Ajna
"I am wise, intuitive, and connected with my inner guide."
Labradorite:
strengthens the aura and unites all the chakras.
Amythest:
one of the most spiritual stones that enhances intuition, spirituality, and develop a deeper understanding of life. Helps with decision making and balances emotional highs and lows.
Throat Chakra: Vishuddha
"I express myself with clarity and confidence."
Sodalite:
encourages rational thought and speaking your true feelings. This stone also calms panic attacks and enhances self-esteem.
Turquoise:
healing stone that is among the crystal healing master stones. The whole body benefits from this stone, especially the immune, respiratory, waste, and skeletal systems.
Heart Chakra: Anahata
"I allow love to fill me up and guide me in all my actions."
Rose Quartz:
opens the heart to all types of love, raises self-esteem, and balance emotions. The stone of unconditional love opens the heart chakra.
Solar Plexus Chakra: Manipura
"I choose health, healing, and happiness."
Citrine:
attracts love and happiness and protects against negative energy. Citrine also increases creativeness and imagination. It is the stone of abundance, prosperity, and success.
Sacral Chakra: Svadhisthana
"I embrace pleasure and abundance."
Carnelian:
stimulates motivation, leadership, and courage. Attracts prosperity, joy, and good luck.
Root Chakra: Muladhara
"I am able to let go of fear and know I am eternally safe."
Smoky Quartz:
protects against negative energy and enhances survival instincts. This is a grounding and stabilizing gemstone that is believed to help one move forward into clarity.
I purchased a big chakra crystal set off of Etsy with 70 crystals. I've linked the etsy listing here :) I wanted a lot of crystals to start off my gem journey because I wanted to learn about as many gemstones as I could and use them based off of what I vibe with. The stones I use vary from day to day depending on what mood and headspace I'm in.
I decided to learn about gemstones and crystals because I've always loved rocks and minerals and would always find myself digging through the rocks and stones at any gift store as a kid. A lot of these stones can also be used with a meditation practice, which was another reason why I bought the chakra set.
I am still learning so much about all the different uses and benefits of crystals and gems and I am no expert but some great resources to learn more are Energy Muse, Alchemical Magic, Tiny Devotions, and Mala Kamala.
